Externship For Vet Students

Leclair equine externships are available year round on a first come first serve basis. Students will observe primary field care veterinarians while experiencing the wide array of services we perform including, but not limited to, equine emergencies, reproduction, dentistry, radiology, herd health and more. In order to participate in this externship, students must contact our office and provide a resume. This program is for veterinary students enrolled in an AVMA accredited school of veterinary medicine and is generally in one or two week visits. Students must have their own means of transportation to and from our clinic or make special arrangements. On-site complimentary housing is limited but available. These accommodations increase exposure to emergency cases and foaling/mare care.

Undergraduate Internships

Leclair equine internships are available year round on a first come first serve basis. Students will observe primary field care veterinarians while experiencing the wide array of services we perform and learn safe horse handling and assist our veterinary technicians. In order to participate in this internship, students must contact our office and provide a resume. This program is for undergraduate college students. Students must have their own means of transportation to and from our clinic or make special arrangements.
